Tip #1: Take care of your hair by taking care of your body.

This means eating healthy foods that not only benefit your body but also keep your hair strong and beautiful. Eat foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids that help keep your skin, hair, and nails healthy. These are salmon, tuna, mackerel, and other fatty fish, flax seed oil, walnuts, almonds, and milk. Other sources of protein like chicken, egg, and soy also promote healthy hair.

Tip #2: Wash your hair infrequently and correctly.

Some women wash their hair every other day or after 3-4 days to achieve a more manageable and healthy-looking hair. Daily washing, especially with hot water, tends to dry your hair. So, keep your hair’s natural oils and make it more manageable by washing it from time to time in cold water.

Tip #3: Change hair products regularly.

You don’t have to get used to just one kind of shampoo and conditioner. Most experts agree that changing hair products is better than sticking to just one brand. This is important to avoid build-ups on your hair caused by certain hair product ingredients. This will also help in keeping your hair smoother and healthier. Also, it would be ideal to avoid shampoos and conditioners with sulfate and silicone; use gentle hair products to keep hair healthy.

Tip #4: Be easy on your hair.

From hair products to drying to brushing, make sure you are gentle on your hair. Use gentle hair products, avoid wringing your hair to dry it or heat-styling it regularly, and avoid too much brushing. All of these are helpful in maintaining a strong and healthy hair. Always use gentle products, air-dry your hair as much as possible or set the blow dryer to the coolest setting if you need to use it, and lastly, use natural fiber brushes if needed.

Tip #5: Pamper your hair regularly.

Use deep conditioning or natural treatments every now and then to keep hair looking attractively sleek. Olive oil, avocado oil, coconut oil, or even just milk can be used to do this. Also, go for a trim every 6-8 weeks to avoid splitting and tired-looking hair.

With these easy and simple tips, you’re now on your way to gorgeously healthy hair that you can wear for a good hair day every day.
