No matter how tired you may be, you must never go to bed with your makeup on. During the night, the dirt gets accumulated in your pores, which become enlarged by the intensified presence of sebaceous oil in it. Makeup traps the dirt inside the pores, which ultimately results in skin blemishes. If you do not remove the eyeliner and the mascara from your eyes, not only that you will wake up with raccoon eyes, but also you can very easily develop an eye infection. And lastly, this habit of not removing your makeup can lead to premature skin aging, and that is the last thing you want.
Breaking the Habit
When you are out all day or night working or partying, as soon as you arrive home, all you want to do is take off your shoes and relax. If you go overboard with your relaxation, you will end up sleeping like a baby, not caring about your skin. Your skin is very forgiving when you are in your early twenties, but as soon as you hit the thirties threshold, you start to realize that some lines on your face do not disappear when you stop laughing or frowning. Trust me, these fine lines can become deeply etched on your face if you do not cut the habit of sleeping with your makeup on. There is one little trick that will prevent you to continue with this habit in the future: keep a photo of you on your bathroom mirror looking young and with an impeccable skin. This way you will motivate yourself to care for your skin and retain a youthful appearance.
Sunflower, Olive, and Almond Oil
Almond oil is the best makeup remover on the whole world. It will get rid of the entire makeup without stripping off the skin from its natural oils; it will nourish your skin and leave it smooth and soft, perfect for kissing. Not to mention it smells divinely. If by any chance, you do not have almond oil in your home, you can use olive oil or sunflower oil. Both of the oils are rich in vitamin E, the beautifying vitamin. Just use cotton balls soaked in one of the oils and gently rub your face with it. When you are makeup free, just wash your face with lukewarm water and apply night cream appropriate for your skin type. The whole procedure won’t last more than 5 minutes, and after that you are ready to snooze off to lala land.
Yogurt
Although this may sound strange, plain unsweetened yogurt is not only good for your body, but for your skin also. Take one tablespoon of yogurt, steer it, and soak cotton balls in it. Then use separate cotton balls for your eyes, your lips, and your face. When you are done, do not forget to wash off your face thoroughly, just so you will prevent an unwanted bacteria growth.
Are you familiar with some other natural makeup removers that are domesticated in our homes?
